Colour therapy works like meditation
If you find the idea of meditating a minefield and struggle to stay focused, what about colouring instead? Do you remember as a child the long satisfying hours you sat with pencils and pens colouring in? It is a very soothing and relaxing activity and something that adults are now going back to help them unwind and switch off from their busy lives. It is also a great way to let yourself be creative and to be totally present in the here and now, something most adults struggle with.
There are some lovely adult colouring books available, also called colour therapy and mindfulness colouring books. One of these books would also make the perfect present for mums this Mothering Sunday – along with some time to let her indulge in it.
