TIPS FOR USING CACAO NIBS & POWDER

Cacao nibs are the broken pieces of cacao beans after they’ve been roasted, shelled, and separated from their husks. In this raw form, with no added sugar, they retain all the beneficial compounds present in the bean including antioxidants, magnesium, iron, and fibre, making cacao nibs a healthy addition to your diet. It also contains theobromine and helps cardiovascular health. Cacao nibs offer a unique, intense chocolate flavour with a slightly bitter edge. BLUEBERRY & CACAO SMOOTHIE

Serves 2 INGREDIENTS:– 400 ml your Milk of choice – 200g x fresh or frozen blueberries (frozen makes the smoothie thicker & colder– 1/2 x Avocado, stoned and roughly chopped– A handful of spinach– 2 tbsp. x Chia gel (use 1 tsp. Chia seeds and soak in 2 tablespoons of water for 5 min)– 1 tbsp. x Raw cacao powder– 1 tsp. x Raw cacao nibs– 1 tsp. x Maca powder– 2 tsp. x Agave syrup METHOD: First add the milk, followed by all the other ingredients, into a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth, about 1 minute. Divide between 2 tall glasses. Drop the cacao nibs on top. Enjoy!
